Wimbly Lu Chocolate Cafe.

I really enjoy exploring new places, especially on this tiny island which we tend to think we know too well. The pleasure of uncovering hidden gems is simply indescribable, and that’s exactly how we felt when we found Wimbly Lu.

Tucked away (almost hidden) within a private property estate is this cosy little corner specializing in all things chocolate. Make sure your goggle map is working because it’s gonna be a short excursion from the MRT.

Fresh waffles with homemade ice-cream and a drizzle of toffee. The waffles are crisp outside and airy inside, and we chose vanilla ice-cream, which was smooth and rich, speckled with real vanilla pods.

The Blackout Cake was love at first bite. Soft, moist and rich – a perfect balance of the duper-dense version at PS Cafe and the soft and light ones at Awfully Chocolate.

Halfway through our cakes, it started raining, which was pleasantly therapeutic, as we hear raindrops splatter and watch them fall upon the overhead glass ceiling.

So that was how we doodled away yet another lazy afternoon.

The Coffee Daily

Tucked away in a quiet, unobtrusive little neighborhood called Serangoon Gardens, The Coffee Daily is perfect for a casual weekend coffee if you happen to reside nearby. Psst, the chocolate truffle cake was absolutely decadent. (:
