Hong Kong: Rubber Duck Project

Thursday Travels is a weekly column featuring sights and sounds from my wanderlust adventures. Come, fly with me, and we’ll explore strange cultures, exotic eats and everything in-between.

A happy highlight of my short trip to Hong Kong involved the Victoria Harbour and one giant rubber ducky. This charismatic art installation by Florentijn Hofman infected crowds with contagious bouts of happiness, expressed in an indistinguishable chorus of oohs and aahs.

“The ocean is my bathtub,” said Rubber Duck.
