Uyii x The Little Dröm Store

Lately, there has been some sort of renaissance in creative handmade goods (hooray!). Although they may cost slightly more than mass produced ones, people are gradually recognizing the value of dedicated craftsmanship.

Personally, I’m a huge supporter of handmade crafts. I believe it promotes ground-up creativity, individuality and environmental sustainability. So when I came to know about Uyii at one of the Public Garden fleas, I fell in love instantly with their quality handmade bags.

Founded in Oct 2011, Uyii creates unique yet practical bags that are all handmade in Singapore. I especially adore the 2d3d bag (fits A2!) and their pretty, mismatched totes. They also organize sewing lessons at their studio for those interested in bag-making.

From now till 29 June, Uyii is showcasing their range of bags and what goes on behind them at The Little Dröm Store. So if you’re interested, do pop by to support local artisans.

While I was there, I also had a slice of Little Red Riding Hood – dark chocolate mousse with raspberry centre – washed down with a light pot of tea. cakes are simply decadent!
