Baker & Cook has been on my list for the longest time, because we both love freshly baked artisan breads and the rustic, homely atmosphere seems perfect for a weekend brunch.
Thanks to my non-existent sense of direction, we almost got lost while hunting it down, but were fortunately saved by a passing taxi. Don’t worry, it may be a lil out of the way, but it’s not that hard to find, really.
We shared an Eggs Benedict with a generous serving of smoked salmon — eggs were perfectly done — and it was absolutely delish!
Toasted Raisin Bagel, served with cream cheese.
The Double Chocolate Muffin drizzled with caramel was sinfully rich and moist too.
On the other hand, the coffee was served too hot and bland, so when I’m back again I’d opt for their teas.
P.S.: Can you tell I’m struggling to find my PS mojo? I sure hope it comes home real soon. Either that or I’d fly to chicago and learn from bri the queen..!!!
