Feels like home.

My mum used to bake a lot when I was younger. I love the smell of homemade cookies filling up the house. The first tray’s usually slightly charred but we would polish them off anyway. And we could empty a jar of cookies in a matter of days, until the oven ticks again.

This tiny bakery at Shaw Towers is as homely as it can get, from jars of cookies and plaid tablecloth to photo frames on the wall. Lady boss is very friendly too, offering whole cookies for tasting. I personally love the double chocolate, and oatmeal raisin cookies. I hear they serve moist fluffy muffins too!

Listen carefully amidst the weekend buzz and you’d hear japanese oldies ringing through the air. This is an unassuming japanese bakery with genuine service and a loyal following. And there’s little wonder why.

ILT, served with two bags of tea.
